Dr. Diogo Gonçalves Freitas is a neurosurgeon with more than 15 years of experience treating conditions affecting the central nervous system and spine.
He graduated in Medicine from the University of Grande Rio and completed his medical residency in Neurosurgery at Hospital Municipal Miguel Couto, in Rio de Janeiro. He later completed a fellowship in Neurointervention and Interventional Neuroradiology at Hospital Santa Teresa and a Research Fellowship in Endovascular Neurosurgery at Mayo Clinic Florida, in the United States.
His practice focuses on the surgical and minimally invasive treatment of brain aneurysms, strokes, vascular malformations, brain hemorrhages, and other complex neurological conditions. He also performs surgical treatment of spinal conditions and central nervous system tumors.
